Bleedin’ Days, Part 1

Hey Ladies.
I’m on my period, which means that, like clock-work, I am cleaning the fuck out of my house. In our culture, we tend to focus on all the bad things about our menstrual cycles–the physical pain, the mood changes. But I think the changeability that my cycle demands is excellent for creativity.
For example, there is a cycle of building up crap/projects/messes and then clearing them out from my physical spaces that corresponds with my body’s process of building up a home for a potential bebe and then clearing it out. So in that sense, I have this wonderful built in component for keeping things fresh and preventing stagnation in my artistic life. I actually really look forward to my period because it marks this mini monthly starting fresh phase, which never ceases to feel exciting and full of possibility. What will this new month bring?
Do you all clear out your physical spaces on your periods? Or have you noticed other positive cyclical patterns that tend to happen when you’re bleedin’?
